The Face to Face Communities Network Summit themed "Your Health, Your Community took place on 18 March from 6pm to 8pm. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the importance of Health and Wellbeing. The Summit served as a platform for building and reinforcing connections within the community.

Mrs Posnett Lead Member for Community and Staff Relations welcomed participants, introduced guest speakers and emphasised the importance of partnership working, in bringing people together and making a real difference to the lives of people and communities in Leicestershire.

Speakers included Sarah Carter from Leicestershire County Council, who set the scene. Paul Fagan from Marlene Reid Community Action Centre, Rachel Nott from Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland Mind (LLR Mind), Georgia James and Jenny Gaunt from Active Together. Additionally participants had the opportunity to join in some practical interactive sessions demonstrating the benefits of integrating mindfulness and physical activity.

This event was attended by organisations, residents, and businesses. Participants seized the chance to interact with a panel of experts and colleagues from Public Health. Throughout the summit, attendees were engaged in discussions led by specialists emphasising the significance of Social engagement, Mental and Physical health.

The information desk had valuable resources, enhancing the summits impact by providing attendees with additional support and information to continue their health and well being journeys. There was a sense of shared purpose strengthening the bonds within the community and empowering individuals.
