Link Up Help Out Oadby and Wigston Community Roadshow
Following the great success of the Oadby & Wigston Community Roadshow which took place in June 2022 partners decided to host a follow up event.
The Link up Help Out Oadby and Wigston Roadshow took place on 13th September 2023 and was organised between Leicestershire County Council (LCC), Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL), Butterfly Beacons the Salvation Army in South Wigston and the Local area Co -ordinaters.
The Community Roadshow was open to the public, local organisations, and partners to come along to find out more about the groups volunteering opportunities and activities in the local area.
Over 30 stallholders were present at the event including
NSPCC
Canal and Water Association
Oadby Rotary Club
Credit union
Age Concern
Loros
Butterfly Beacons
Elliot Hall
VASL
Local district councils were present as well as many other stall holders
Between 30 – 40 people attended the event giving them an opportunity to meet and learn from other groups and find out about Volunteering opportunities in the local area.
