Many Parish & Town Councils are already working towards the net zero carbon goal for Leicestershire, we'd like to support more Parish and Town Councils to get involved.
We have been working closely with the LRALC to identify how we can best support Parish and Town Councils with Environmental Action within Communities.
Some of you may have attended the 'Climate Action Emergency Training Day' run by the Centre for Sustainable Energy in December 2020, responded to the 'Climate Action Survey' promoted through the LRALC Round Robin in March 2021, or attended the 'Introduction to Environmental Action' briefing in June 2021. Information from these events can be found in the 'Resources' section of the website.
We will be keeping you up to date with everything Environmental through the bi-monthly LRALC Newsletter and also the Round Robin, so please look out for upcoming events.
We would like to hold some sessions to showcase Parish/Town Council lead Environmental Projects, to share good practice and learning with other Parish/Town Councils. If you would be willing to share your experience, please get in touch with us at CommunitiesTeam@leics.gov.uk.
