Leicestershire Inter Faith Forum Event 2022

The Cost of Living Crisis - Role of faith based organisations

Tuesday 11th October 2022, 6.00pm (light refreshments & networking) main session 6:30pm - 8.00pm at Melton Borough Council Offices

The Leicestershire Inter Faith Forum provides a space for faith or belief communities and people to come together, share their experiences and work together to achieve strong, cohesive and resilient communities.

Everyone with an interest in promoting positive relations between people of different beliefs is welcome to attend.

The evening will be opened by Mrs Pam Posnett MBE CC, Cabinet Lead Member for Communities and Staff Relations. The focus of the meeting will be around the cost of living and the respective roles of the Council and Faith based organisations in supporting those most vulnerable. The event will begin at 6.00pm with light refreshments. The main sessions will commence at 6:30pm and conclude at 8:00pm.

Guest speakers will include The Right Reverend Saju Muthalaly Bishop of Loughborough and Dr Mike Sandys Director of Public Health, Leicestershire County Council

The Inter Faith Forum currently operates through an annual event, usually with invited speakers, on a theme of interest to faith communities.

This meeting provides opportunities to network, express your views on how the Forum can better reflect the needs and expectations of faith communities across the county, and to learn about Leicestershire County Council's priorities and proposals and what this might mean for inter faith work.
