Welcome to Volunteering with Leicestershire County Council

Here you will find information about the volunteering opportunities offered by Leicestershire County Council.

If COVID has taught us anything, it is that when it matters, we come together and make a difference. During the pandemic, hundreds of volunteers rose to the occasion and made a positive impact in their local communities. Although it can seem a little bit daunting or overwhelming to think about giving your time to volunteer - especially with our busy lives – it can reap enormous benefits, both personally and professionally.

Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills and meet new people. There are lots of different unpaid roles available across the council, including at country parks, libraries and museums.

What volunteering opportunities are available?
