Locality's announcement of the withdrawal of funding for Neighbourhood Plans as a subsequence to MHCLG withdrawal of Neighbourhood Plan funding due to the Spending Review announcement has raised queries about the support provided by Leicestershire County Council.

Leicestershire County Council provide support through the Leicestershire Neighbourhood Planning Network, which provides an on-line resource for all Neighbourhood Planning groups in Leicestershire, where possible twice yearly online topic meetings, and single point of contact for Neighbourhood Plan enquiries, advice and signposting. As a statutory consultee we also provide a coordinated consultation response service for all our service departments.
