Spending Review - Neighbourhood Plan Funding

IMPORTANT FUNDING INFORMATION
As a result of the recent Government Spending Review, The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) cannot proceed with commissioning New Neighbourhood Planning support services with Locality for the financial year 2025 onwards. Unfortunately, this means that the main source of funding for Neighbourhood Planning groups will not be available. Locality are able to complete all technical support packages already agreed (these are to be completed by March 2026). If you currently have a technical support package in place with them we suggest contacting them for further information about how to proceed. (link below)
We know it will be difficult for some groups to progress their plans in the light of this news. Locality are still available to contact if you wish to discuss how you can progress your neighbourhood plan or realise your aspirations despite the lack the funding. Leicestershire County Council will still be supporting groups in Leicestershire with information, support and guidance; along with Voluntary Action Leicestershire (https://valonline.org.uk/).
