Celebrating Great Communities - December 2019

Leicestershire County Council hosted a 'Celebrating Great Communities' showcase event at County Hall on 5th December 2019.

The event gave opportunities for delegates to:

  • Hear about different projects, activities and initiatives which are making a positive difference in Leicestershire
  • Hear from inspiring community champions, about how they have made an impact in local communities
  • Attend workshops around developing community buildings; social prescribing; being a resilient community; and how to apply for Lottery funding
  • Network and interact with other like-minded people who share common interests related to social action

Tackling Loneliness in Leicestershire

The event included the launch of a new approach to Tackling Loneliness in Leicestershire and a new guide to tackling loneliness was shared with delegates, copies of which can be downloaded below.
