Civil Society Strategy Consultation

The Government announced last year that it would develop a Civil Society Strategy, which it said would help to shape the English charity sector's future direction. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) wants to hear your on how Government can work with and for civil society to tackle challenges and unlock opportunities to build a stronger society. Feedback from the engagement will inform the Civil Society Strategy which is due to be published later in the year.

We are encouraging charities, community groups, youth organisations and residents who want to help build a stronger society an improve lives to take part by completing the online questionnaire.

The consultation seeks views on areas what Government can do to:-

  • support people - including young people to play an active role in building a stronger society
  • unlock the full potential of the private and public sectors to support social good
  • help improve communities to make them better places to live and work in
  • build stronger public services

Not all sections of the questionnaire need to be completed. Please spread the word amongst your networks and use the hashtag of #CivilSocietyStrategy. Feedback from the questionnaire will be very useful for Leicestershire's Communities Strategy which can be found HERE

The deadline for submitting responses is 22nd May.
