The British Red Cross is working with community partners to provide free First Aid sessions to the following community groups:
• Adults over 65 at risk of slips, trips and falls.
• People living with issues around drug and alcohol usage.
• People who are homeless or rough sleepers and at risk of injury or sudden illness.s
These are informal sessions and can be arranged at a user's venue.
Currently they are delivering in the Leicestershire area.

This is an 8 week course that starts on Tuesday 10th October 2017 and costs £40 and will be held at AgeUK Clarence House, Humberstone Gate, Leicester.

Neighbourhood Planning: making the most of your local heritage - training, 10 July 2017
Neighbourhood Planning groups and parish councils in Leicestershire and Rutland are invited to 'Neighbourhood Planning: making the most of your local heritage'. This training workshop takes place on Monday 10 July 2017 at Rothwell, near Kettering.
The workshop will help you understand evidence for your local historic environment, and use it to develop policies for your Neighbourhood Plan which preserve the character of your place. It will feature practice as well as theory, and input from the statutory adviser Historic England.

Our British Sign Language (BSL) for Beginners and Deaf Awareness taster sessions are for anyone, but also aimed at people with a hearing loss themselves. The sessions are also useful for those that have a family member or friend that has a type of hearing loss and wish to know how to better communicate and support them.
The Taster Sessions are available at a variety of locations throughout Leicestershire. More information can be viewed on the attached poster.
