We are seeking an experienced professional to shape the Council's approach to engagement and consultation.
You will have good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to develop effective relationships with both external and internal stakeholders including communities.
You will be highly organised, with a proven ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines and be committed to demonstrating the Council's values.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a particular interest and /or background in engagement and consultation activities and an understanding of policy development, equalities, service commissioning and/or the management of service change.
You will lead the development and delivery of key engagement and consultation activities, providing practical support and guidance to our service departments to help them plan and deliver compliant key service changes. You will use your communication skills and knowledge of engagement and consultation tools and techniques to help ensure consultations are clear, inclusive and are delivered effectively.
You will work together with other support services to develop relationships with external partners including communities and representative organisations. You will work closely with colleagues and partners to achieve the Council's objectives for community engagement, cohesion and equalities.
