Consultation: Draft LLR Living Well with Dementia Strategy 2019 - 2022

Posted: Mon, 23 Apr 2018 10:02

The Dementia Programme Board has drafted a new strategy which details the actions it intends to take in order to create a health and social care system that works together so that every person with dementia, their carers and families have access to and receive compassionate care and support not only before diagnosis but after diagnosis and through to end of life.

The draft LLR Living Well with Dementia Strategy 2019-2022 is now live on the city council's consultation portal until Friday 22nd June 2018.

The Council is keen to hear the views of everyone affected by dementia including people with a diagnosis, their families and carers, and people and organisations who work to support them: see link https://consultations.leicester.gov.uk/communications/living-well-with-dementia-strategy-consultation

The survey is available to complete online in the first instance but there is a downloadable version on the site with a freepost address to return it, should people not want to complete it online.

For those who may not have access to the internet, please use your local libraries or attend a local Alzheimer's Society group to complete.

Contact details for the Alzheimer's Society are: https://mychoice.leicester.gov.uk/Services/728/Alzheimer-s-Society.

Easy read versions in print are available from us on request.

If you would like a representative to come and speak to your patients/service users about the Strategy during the consultation period, please contact me on 0116 4542300 to arrange this.
