SHIRE Grants Launch Event 2018

Leicestershire County Council held a SHIRE Community Grants Launch and Networking Event at County Hall on Monday 9th April 2018.

The event included an opportunity for delegates to:

  • Find out more about the SHIRE Community Grants Programme, including some of the achievements in 2017-18 and the Grant programme's objectives for 2018-19
  • Learn more about the Council's approach to working with the voluntary and community sector, to help achieve the aims and objectives of the Leicestershire Communities Strategy
  • Meet and connect with other local community organisations and other relevant stakeholders

76 delegates attended the event, most of whom were representatives of VCSE organisations in Leicestershire. As well as a presentation about the SHIRE Grants Programme for 2018-19, delegates heard from two trustees from local Leicestershire organisations:
