Action Homeless is a Leicestershire based charity supporting people and families with accommodation and the skills to gain independent living. It has recently opened The Hub in Hinckley to provide locally based support for people requiring housing or financial advice.
The Melton Learning Hub is an alternative education provider for young individuals in Leicestershire. It formed as a charity in 2012 to tackle the increasing levels of anti-social behaviour in Melton.
ACCEPT is a Hinckley based charity that provides support to adults with mental health difficulties.
Oakthorpe Primary School in North West Leicestershire developed a partnership with 3 other local primary schools (Albert Village, Viscount Beaumont and Swannington CofE) and Worth It Projects – a social enterprise that specialises in coaching / positive psychology with young people (including those with mental health issues).
Re-Map Leicestershire & Rutland develops bespoke equipment to enable people with disabilities to integrate into the community and lead more independent and fulfilling lives. Unique pieces of specialist equipment are tailor made by Remap's volunteer experts, and given free to the people who they have been designed for.
The café provides valuable social opportunities for older people to meet and create new friendships. By encouraging the sharing of stories and knowledge, attendees engage in stimulating conversations which positively impact on their overall well-being.
Countryside Enterprises CIC (CECIC), based at a farm in Seagrave (Charnwood), are a service user led social enterprise, supporting adults with disabilities to take part in horticultural based work in order to develop practical skills and life skills, as well as providing opportunities to earn an income.
Community Health and Learning Foundation (CHLF) delivers health literacy information and training to vulnerable and disadvantaged people and communities.
